Everything you need to know before getting started

Suppliers pay two fees per transaction, both deducted at source when escrow releases funds on delivery confirmation. The escrow fee ([ESCROW FEE %] of order value) is the cost of the payment certainty service — funds confirmed in escrow before you commit to delivery. The transaction fee covers order origination and platform facilitation, and decreases with monthly volume across four tiers: 2.5% up to R50,000, 2.0% from R50,001–R200,000, 1.75% from R200,001–R500,000, and 1.5% above R500,000. No monthly subscription. No fee until a confirmed order settles.

Before an order is confirmed, a financier reserves the full payment amount into an escrow account on behalf of the buyer. This gives the supplier visibility that funds are committed before they deliver inputs. On confirmed delivery — verified through the platform’s supply chain tracking or aggregator sign-off — escrow releases funds directly to the supplier. The buyer then repays the financier, with interest, on agreed deferred payment terms. Disputes on delivery must be raised within 48 hours of the confirmed delivery date.

The Impact tier gives qualifying farmer organisations — cooperatives, producer groups, and agricultural NPCs — full aggregator tooling at no monthly charge. In place of a subscription fee, your organisation signs a Partner Agreement to register and maintain your member farmers’ production profiles. Qualification requires NPC or cooperative registration, no profit distribution, a minimum of 20 farmer members, and annual re-verification. The R200,000 annual order volume threshold is waived in your first year.

Financiers reserve payment funds into escrow on behalf of buyers. When escrow releases those funds to the supplier on delivery, the financier’s capital is deployed. The buyer then repays the financier on deferred terms — the financier earns interest on the capital from the point of escrow release until repayment. There is no platform fee charged to financiers. Their return comes entirely from the interest spread on buyer repayment.

A delivery location is a physical node in your supply chain — a farm collection point, aggregator depot, processing facility, or buyer delivery address. Every location adds operational complexity: more logistics events to track, more escrow events to settle, and more traceability records. Tiers are differentiated by delivery locations because this directly reflects the infrastructure cost and payment guarantee exposure your plan carries.
